On Global Accessibility Awareness Day 2025, Grameenphone was honored with the national award for, for its SignLine initiative. The award was presented at a ceremony organized by a2i, UNDP Bangladesh, and Friendship (INGO), acknowledging the company's efforts to make digital services more inclusive.
Launched in 2020, SignLine was introduced to support individuals with speech and hearing impairments by offering customer service through sign language. In 2025, the service has evolved into a real-time interpretation platform, enabling users to navigate everyday communication beyond telecom services.
Available via the MyGP app and Grameenphone website, SignLine connects users to trained interpreters fluent in both sign and spoken languages.
