BNP’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman has strongly condemned the kil*ling of U.S. conservative political leader Charlie Kirk, who was sh*ot dead on Wednesday night at the University of Utah campus. In a statement, Tarique Rahman described the murder as “heinous” and extended his deepest condolences to Kirk’s family and loved ones. He said no one in a democratic society should ever face violence because of their political beliefs or activism, stressing that such a brutal end to life is unacceptable regardless of faith, ideology, or perspective.
Charlie Kirk, known as a close ally of former U.S. President Donald Trump and founder of conservative youth organization Turning Point USA, was a key figure in mobilizing young voters in Trump’s favor during the last U.S. election. His death has cast a shadow across political circles globally. President Trump himself mourned the kil*ling, calling it “deeply tragic.”
